Free advice line on IT to open
The Department of Trade and Industry is spending 35m on a four-year drive to advise industry about the use of information technology.
The Information Society Initiative will serve businesses which work in IT and multimedia.
A free information line opens this week for companies needing advice on the benefits of IT.
“For example, a design group can find out if it’s eligible for a government grant, or receive information on multimedia support centres and the Internet and how to export into Europe with IT,” explains a spokesman.
The line will be open on weekdays between 8am and 6pm. The number is 0345 152000.
