Stock Exchange denies change

The London Stock Exchange has moved to quash reports that it is considering changing its name and dropping its heraldic crest logo as part of a rebranding programme.

A spokesman says the Exchange has not ruled out rebranding, but adds that it has no plans to get rid of its crest or change its name. However, in her first interview in the job, exchange chief executive Clara Fursetold told the Sunday Telegraph: “We are looking at it, but it’s a very emotional issue.”

The spokesman says the exchange is continuing to work with its retained design consultancy Dragon.

Dragon was unavailable for comment as Design Week went to press.
