Business centre funding for RCA

The Royal College of Art has secured a £1.1m grant from the Higher Education Fund to set up a ‘gateway’ through which business can approach the college.

RCA rector Professor Sir Christopher Frayling says the ‘gateway’ will take the form of ‘a major business centre’, due to open in September when full details, including the name of the person who will head it, will also be announced.

The centre will have its own front door within the London college’s Kensington Gore complex.

Frayling says, ‘[The centre] will be an outward and visible sign of our relationship with business. It is the logical next chapter in the life of the college.’
