London consultancy Callcott Anderson Brand Design is set to become lead design group for the mooted Titanic II project.

RMS Titanic Ship Holdings, led by South African entrepreneur Sarel Gous, is planning a modern replica of the ill-fated cruise ship, to be built in Belfast by original shipbuilder Harland & Wolff.

The arrangement could see original Titanic designs used in order to recreate features such as the Louis XV-style lounge, Palm Court Café and Turkish baths.
