‘Mike Turner gave me this for Christmas,’ says Jon Ellery. ‘The subject matter is so banal it makes me laugh, but somehow it kind of works. It’s quite indulgent in its production: french folds, rivet bound, 8cm thick, it’s all happening It’s nice to see some confidence with colour.’
