SmashedAtom is designing and branding Energis Interactive’s BrightBlue consumer services portal, launching this spring.

The service is designed to be a virtual high street and will provide users with access to a broad range of services, including shops, banking, travel, betting and recruitment. It will be available via digital satellite.

SmashedAtom will design the BrightBlue logo, and service branding and the overall navigation for the service. It will also define navigation and style guidelines.

Energis Interactive has been set up by e-business solutions provider Energis and software provider Graham Technology to respond to opportunities in the interactive TV market. BrightBlue is its first offering and when live will go head-to-head with digital channel Open, according to a company spokesman.

Graham Technology, has developed the software technology that drives the service. SmashedAtom, of which Telewest owns 60 per cent, won the contract as part of a three-way pitch.
