Merchant tunes in to Castle job

Merchant Corporate Design’s identity for Castle Transmission International, formerly the BBC’s Home Service transmission business, is being implemented on to literature and exhibition display items.

The BBC transmitters were sold earlier this year to a consortium which includes TéléDiffusion de France. SEA Design was commissioned by Merchant to carry out the design work.

The logo’s colours were taken from the French company’s own marque, and the wave form, known as a Lissajous figure, represents signal processing used in the wireless communications industry, says a Merchant spokeswoman.

Merchant won the job through a referral from its parent company Brunswick, which is handling CTI’s press relations.
