BMW perks up Starbucks’ machines

BMW Group Designworks USA has expanded its remit to design a domestic espresso machine in association with Starbucks.

Working in collaboration with coffee machine manufacturer Saeco, BMW has come up with a sophisticated American Art Deco-inspired machine known as Sirena, which BMW says is intended to ‘reflect the distinctive identity of Starbucks and the quality associated with it’. BMW’s design team has created a black-and-silver machine which contains two boilers to enable users to brew coffee and steam milk simultaneously, while the‘deposit area’ also acts as a hotplate to keep cups warm.

The Sirena espresso machine is available on-line from www.starbucksstore.com
