The Chartered Society of Designers has appointed six new council members. They are: BT design manager David Mercer, BDG McColl chairman Stephen Hitchins, John Sermon Associates founder John Sermon, Gerrard & Medd principal David Gerrard, BAA group design manager Stephen Challis and SmithKline Beecham head of creative design Harry Flewitt.
