Last week’s Private View was lacking its cartoon of a ‘Mac Monkey’. Cartoonist Louis Hellman posted it as usual, but there was no sign of it come the deadline. It arrived in a very battered state a week late, having been posted in Ealing – immediately before the terrorist bomb immobilised the suburb. So Design Week too has fallen victim to terrorism.
Alongside a custom typeface, the new look for the online electrical retailer also includes a rethought colour palette, and a redrawn smile logo.
Weir was in the role for three and a half year and tells Design Week that she hopes her successor will not be one of the “usual suspects”.
The show, designed by Nissen Richards Studio aims to tell “the wider story of displacement alongside individuals’ narratives”.
