The Society of Typographic Designers has organised an informal seminar on 23 January for students and young designers with Sean Blair, director of the Design Council. Blair will discuss the role of the Design Council, its position in relation to other design bodies and design’s role in business.

Alternatively, the spring term at the London’s Bartlett School of Architecture kicks off with more Frank Lowe lectures. The first takes place on 17 January and features architect Lebbeus Woods.
