Chez Gérard to make coffee more modern

Restaurant group Chez Gérard is to roll out a more modern format to its recently acquired Richoux chain of coffee shops.

The new format was developed by Richoux’s former management, and is already in use in the chain’s Kensington Church Street branch.

It applies a more contemporary image to the Richoux brand, which operates a number of traditionally styled outlets.

The latest London Chez Gérard restaurant, opposite London’s Sadlers Wells Theatre, is currently being prepared for opening, to a design by David Collins Associates.

Chez Gérard founder Lawrence Isaacson says the quality of restaurant design has always been considered as important as the quality of the food.
