Edward Briscoe goes Swiss

Edward Briscoe International Group is effectively to emigrate by moving its head office to Geneva, Switzerland. Subsidiary Edward Briscoe Design will remain a UK-based group, but will increase its level of European work, says chairman Ted Briscoe.

Briscoe says the move is in response to the continued strength of the pound, in preparation for a recession he expects next year, and to help cater for demand from international clients. “So many groups have been surprised by a recession,” he says. There are also tax benefits to the move, he adds.

Two UK staff of Edward Briscoe International will move to Geneva.

Edward Briscoe International has also formed a working agreement, under which no money changed hands, with Dusseldorf group GAP Marketing Consulting.
