Imagination is revving up to develop another interior section of the Millennium Dome, this time for car manufacturer Ford.
The original developer of the Dome, Imagination has recently been brought back into the project to work on BT’s space there (DW 10 July).
Ford is understood to be close to agreeing a sponsorship deal with Dome organiser the New Millennium Experience Company, under which the car group would become a major sponsor alongside BT and Tesco.
An NMEC spokesman confirms talks are at “an advanced stage” with a “major car manufacturer”, but declines to say which one. A Ford spokesman declines to comment on the group’s involvement with NMEC, but says, “There are lots of ways we could celebrate the Millennium. This is the biggest in the UK.”
An Imagination spokeswoman says, “We are Ford’s face-to-face agency. If they are involved we would be delighted to help them.”
