London’s Allen International Consulting Group has won three large design contracts working for foreign banks.

The consultancy won a seven-way international credentials pitch for Turkish bank Akbank. Its logo will be modified and new interiors are to be created for its 300 branches. Sparebanken NOR, Norway’s largest savings bank, is to get a complete new graphic identity and new interiors. Banco Herrero, a regional Spanish bank, wants an “enhancement” of its logo and interiors work.

The Norwegian and Spanish work came after the consultancy approached the banks. Managing director Michael Allen foresees “long-term relationships” – neither bank has its own designers.

Akbank’s identity will be prototyped in June, the other two in August. Allen will send designers to each country to help roll out the concepts.

Allen has also designed identities for Belgium’s Kredietbank to be unveiled later this year.
