Habitat opens stores in Italy

Habitat is to open its first stores in Italy. In a joint venture with Italian retailer/distributor Group Rinascente, ten of Rinascente’s CROFF home furnishing stores will be transformed into Habitat outlets by the summer of 1996.

Habitat UK managing director Vittorio Radice says the store designs will follow the same Habitat logic of using different designers for each one. He adds that UK designers are likely to be involved.
