The Chill Wizzard is a battery-powered device which can cool down a canned drink in 30 seconds. Japanese company Hiraoka & Co briefed Design Innovation in Hong Kong to come up with a model aimed at the mass-market in the West for use either at home or out and about. Ice cubes are placed inside the can chiller and ‘the can is held in place inside the container by a small suction cap which rotates the can to maximise the heat exchange and allows the drink to cool very quickly’, explains Regina Ko, Design Innovation marketing consultant.
