This pair of Ron Arad bedside cabinets is intriguingly juxtaposed with the indestructible Grid Compass 1109 designed by the then Moggridge Associates in 1979, which was used on the first space shuttle. These and other fascinating objects will be auctioned by Bonhams on 1 June. The auction also includes La Cova by Giovanni Ruffis, a giant nest upholstered in cloth with an egg cushion (6000 to 8000) and an armchair in the form of an Ionic capital by Studio 56 (2200 to 2800).
