I read with sadness the Nick Jenkins obituary of Saul Bass, a great hero and inspiration to us all. Nevertheless, I wish to set the record straight concerning the creation of the Exxon identity.

Nevertheless, I wish to set the record straight concerning the creation of the Exxon identity.

The Exxon name and logo were created by Raymond Loewy and his team, of which I was a member, in New York in 1966.
