Fullers taps market aimed at ‘grown-ups’

London-based regional brewer and pub operator Fuller Smith & Turner is launching a new branded pub and hotel concept aimed at “grown-ups”.

London-based regional brewer and pub operator Fuller Smith & Turner is launching a new branded pub and hotel concept aimed at “grown-ups”. The name, identity, signage and interiors for English Inns are by Design House.

The Swan in Staines has been revamped as the first of the planned chain and will reopen on 20 May. It will be followed by two more this year with further sites dependent on the pilots’ success.

Design House’s choice of logo colours – gold, red and blue – are also used in the interiors. Group account director Lavinia Culverhouse describes the marque as “traditional and very Fullers”.

The English Inns concept has been developed as Fullers upgrades its retail estate with strongly branded pub offers in an effort to attract new customers. Design House’s involvement is a result of its branding for Fuller’s Ale & Pie pub brand in the City.

The group is currently working on another undisclosed retail project for the client, opening in July.
