Youngest ever winner for Prince’s prize
Thomas Heatherwick has won the 2006 Prince Phillip Designers Prize, becoming, at age 36, the youngest ever winner. He saw off competition from Lucienne Day and David Mellor, who both received a Special Commendation, Rodney Fitch, Rodney Kinsman, Stephen Payne and Richard Rogers.
