The Heart of England Tourist Board has unveiled a new marque designed by Three’s Company in Birmingham.

The West and East Midlands’ previous logo used a heart-shaped Union flag, but the tourist authority wanted something “more dynamic”, says consultancy head of design Paul Kilvington.

“The heart is unique in the sector and a distinctive image. It was important to avoid a twee or medical feel,” Kilvington adds

Three’s Company’s logo follows hot on the heels of Team Saatchi’s English Tourist Board identity and Real Time Studio’s branding Britain marque for the British Tourist Authority, both of which launched this summer.
