Lloyd Northover wins Millennium

Lloyd Northover Citigate is to rebrand the Millennium Commission following its parent company Citigate Communication’s appointment to review the body’s communications strategy.

Citigate was appointed after being shortlisted with Munro & Forster (DW September 26).

The aim is to show people how their Lottery money is being spent, says a commission spokeswoman. By the end of the year all the capital project money will have been allotted.

“We are looking for an icon or device to represent our work,” says the spokeswoman. A strapline for commercial organisations which co-fund projects to use may also be developed.

“The commission sees the design element as central to the strategy,” says LNC vice chairman Jim Northover. The icon should be ready by the end of the year.

LNC has now acquired US group Bass Yager, forming Bass Yager Citigate. Plans to merge were announced in May.
