Loewy International has created an emblem to mark the BBC’s 75th anniversary.

The marque is designed to show the corporation’s evolution since 1922. It features a stylised image of the first radio tower alongside a satellite dish.

“[It] is intended to contrast old with new, with an emphasis on future development, technology and achievements,” says Loewy creative director Maria Grasso.

The emblem will appear on television during the anniversary commemoration later this month and on merchandise.
