Mansour seeks UK designers

New York designer James Mansour has confirmed the demand for UK-trained designers in the US, by seeking staff while on a visit to London.

Mansour says his consultancy, Mansour Design, is seeking to employ “top design people” to expand its small team.

By sub-contracting much of its implementation and production work, the consultancy has kept its full-time staff to just eight.

The retail specialist has just created a new identity and brand proposition for Mandee, a 200-strong regional womenswear chain in the northeast of the US.

Mansour Design has done a number of high profile UK jobs, including retail formats for Early Learning Centre (DW 4 October 1996). “We’re not doing anything further with Early Learning Centre at the moment, but expect to go back in next year for more development,” says Mansour.
