Local heroes

British designers and manufacturers have been a mainstay of 100% Design since its inception. This year, the big names – SCP, Twentytwentyone, Hitch Mylius – are out in force, alongside one of the biggest names in British design, Robin Day. Day is back with a reworked version of his 1967 Poly Armchair for Leeds-based manufacturer Loft.

Archetypal, and arguably more experimental, British mainstays such as Suck UK and Mathmos are introducing several new products, notably Mathmos’s Azumi-designed Airswitch 2 light, shown here exclusively. Other products are a closely guarded secret until the show starts – this is just a taste of what to expect.
