Wolff Olins has created the name and a leaf identity for the new company formed by the merger of Spanish construction companies Entrecanales and Cubiertas.
Called Acciona, the new company is now the country’s third biggest construction group and will float on the Spanish stock market on 1 May.
Its name suggests action, energy, movement and enthusiasm, says a consultancy spokeswoman.
The leaf marque “represents a typical Spanish tree which reflects a commitment to the environment and a symbol of strength and stability”, the spokeswoman adds.
Wolff Olins is now working on identities for Acciona’s five business divisions.
