Continuing at the Tram Depot Gallery is Solid State, paintings by Peter Burke. The paintings, through the use of strips, explore the relationship between opposites, stillness and movement. Until 2 May.

If jewellery is more your thing, pop down to the Crafts Council shop at the Victoria and Albert Museum. On display is work by Wendy Ramshaw, titled The Midas Touch, which focuses on the Greek myth of the king and includes necklaces, brooches and earrings made from fine wire, steel and gold. Until 11 May.

Venue: Crafts Council Gallery, V&A Museum, London SW7.

Alternatively, you could visit The City Beautiful, an exhibition of cityscapes. Jiro Osuga depicts the Thames, Richard Gilbert paints Chicago and Michael Heindorff New York. Until 27 April.
