British Airways has talks on new identity

British Airways is talking to consultancies about a new logo, according to a spokeswoman. She confirms that one of these is Landor, the designer of the existing identity.

Landor, Newell and Sorrell, Sampson Tyrrell and Australian consultancy Cato Design are believed to be involved. It’s a “big pitch for a big job; it’s more than just an identity,” says a source. None of the groups were willing to comment.

“It’s not imminent, we’re always talking to consultancies about projects, including a new logo,” says the BA spokeswoman.

“Nothing specific has been decided, we have ongoing discussions about this.” She is unable to confirm or deny the pitch list.
