Tutssels has created the main identity and guidelines for BT’s interactive television service.

Believed to be the first such service in the UK, it is on a one-year trial in Ipswich and Colchester. Subscribers to the service can choose from nine programming services, including a shopping and movie channel, through a remote control set-top box. The Tutssels-designed identity serves as a headline menu, with nine individual and simultaneous sequences identifying the services. “The newness of the medium meant the identity was clear and informative,” says Tutssels account director Jan Casey. “We chose cartoon animation for its clarity and quality of image and designed an identity able to withstand repetition.”
