DCMS gives £4m in grants to museums

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Wolfson Foundation have awarded £4m in grants to 43 English museums and art galleries. The funds will be used to improve the quality of museum displays, public spaces, disabled access and environmental controls.


Projects include creating an entrance at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, improving major exhibition spaces at the British Museum in London and improving access, interpretation and facilities at the Wedgwood Museum in Stoke-on-Trent.
