The Galapagos Conservation Trust, a charity for the islands, has appointed Paper White to design its corporate identity.

CDT has designed the poster for Song at Twilight at The King’s Theatre in London’s Islington. The Noel Coward play runs from 29 December.

Design-led vacuum cleaner company Dyson Appliances has introduced its latest model, the diminutive DC05. Created by the in-house design team, the cleaner is claimed to be the most efficient Dyson yet. New features include a tool holster, and an improved floor cleaning tool, but a clear family resemblance to previous models has been retained. The company has also opened a new research and development centre housing 250 staff.

Midland Bank has produced a best practice brochure for companies tackling the Millennium Bug, designed by Edward Briscoe Design.

Design group Blue Goose has created a seasonal crime prevention campaign for the City of London Police.

Frameworks Corporate Communications has redesigned the Benefits Agency’s customer information leaflets to make them more usable.

London consultancies Roger Felton Associates and DWA have been named as winners in the design category of this year’s Communications in Housing Awards. Roger Felton Associates’ design for Yarrow Housing’s annual report (above) won the housing association prize, while Woking Borough Council’s tenants guide by DWA won the local authorities award. The awards are run by the National Housing Federation, the Housing Corporation and Housing Today.

German paper manufacturer Zanders has launched the final part of a 1998 promotional campaign for product ikono. Literature is by Roundel.
