Creative Action refit for Maris

Creative Action Design has won a four-way creative pitch to redesign the corporate identity for one of the UK’s leading office refitters, Maris. The revised identity is due to be unveiled next month.

Maris employs 130 staff and has an average turnover of £60m, making it a major player within the design and build industry.

Following a recent management buyout and corporate restructuring, the office group decided it needed to review its 15-year-old corporate identity.

Maris spokesman Ceri Gilbert says the new logo will be brought up to date with the company’s current ethos. “It will represent the perceived dynamic, forward-thinking and modern philosophy, suitable for the current culture. It will be easily recognisable and reflect the feeling of a fresh start.”

Creative Action managing director Ian Silverstein says: “Working to redesign Maris’ identity is an extremely positive business opportunity for Creative Action. Coming up with a memorable and contemporary logo can be conducive to an increase in company confidence and feeling of progress, thereby [increasing] staff well being.”
