Dome head must take responsibility for ideas
I’m writing in reference to your Comment (DW 11 February), where it was suggested that Pierre-Yves Gerbeau “could do worse than pull together an advisory group of the UK’s finest from the creative industries”.
I would suggest that it’s absolutely the worst thing he could do. We had just such a group – the Litmus Group – when work began on the Dome.
Good design is not produced by committees. By all means involve a single big name, but only if he is prepared to be held accountable for the delivery of his luminous insight.
