Making its debut at Fresh – a showcase for Scottish furniture design group Blue Marmalade’s creations – is the Hollow lamp. The light, which has the primordial appearance of something you might find floating around in the depths of the ocean, is constructed from two pieces of sheet plastic in contrasting colours, which cast a dramatic glow when the light is switched on. Hollow is the first light by Blue Marmalade to use energy-saving bulbs. Fresh will be held at Elmwood Design’s Edinburgh office from 25 July to 29 August.
