Latter-day disciples of Jesus get on their Saltbox

Watch your back if you take the Lord’s name in vain in Stoke-on-Trent. The community’s Saltbox Christian Centre, Cross Rhythms Radio and North Staffs YFC have banded together to launch the aggressive Jesus Not a Swear Word campaign.

Over the next four weeks, 110 000 postcards designed by PM-S Associates will be mailed to households throughout the region, urging people to respect Jesus’s name. To ensure the gospel reaches young hearts and minds, 20 000 postcards will be distributed to schools in the area. Posters and billboards will also dot the landscape.

Forget straining your eyes to spot Mother Teresa in a cinnamon bun, or the Virgin Mary in an unwashed window. If you live in Stoke-on-Trent, you’ll find Jesus in your letterbox, on the highway, in the classroom…
