Manchester’s Imperial War Museum North to open

Manchester’s Imperial War Museum North opens its doors to The North at War exhibition on 24 March, designed by local consultancy Hemisphere (DW 9 September). The exhibition is the largest ever held at the Daniel Libeskind-designed space. It is the first to explore the experience of civilians in the North of England during the two World Wars and other more recent conflicts. Hemisphere has also produced all print material for marketing and promotions. A six-sheet poster features a Cecil Beaton photograph of a female welder working in the North-east shipyards.
