The Typographic Circle Quiz 1998 will take place on 22 September at 7pm. The annual test of typographic knowledge aims to find the consultancy experts and the individual Typophile of the Year. Contact: Patrick Baglee by end of tomorrow to register a team: patrick.baglee@realtime.co.uk

SAME, the furniture and lighting store have conceived and organised Designers Block, a showcase of European furniture and product design talent. Designers taking part in the event include Dutch designers Droog, Jasper Morrison, Simon Pengelly and last year’s Design Week Furniture Futures winner Ineke Hans (whose shelves are shown above). The event runs from 24-27 September.

Venue: Old Truman Brewery, Brick Lane, London E1.

This year’s 100% Design show will host around 350 exhibitors. The event is the focus for the growth of the UK contemporary interiors market. A programme of free talks includes designer Marc Newson. The show is open to the trade from 24-27 September and to the public on 27 September.

As part of Inventors Awareness Week, London International Inventions Fair runs from 24-27 September. Inventors Awareness Week aims to credit UK inventors both past and present. Inventors can also benefit from a new initiative by calling the Inventors Helpline on 0800 0267889.
