Mather&Co is working on a visitor experience for race circuit Silverstone which will tell the story of British motor racing when it opens in 2018.

The consultancy promises “a dynamic and interactive visitor experience”, which will be combined with tours around the site.

The Silverstone Heritage Experience will be an interpretive design also comprising display objects and a new Collections and Research centre located at the main entrance of the circuit.

Examples of cars and motorcycles which are rooted in the history of the circuit will be on display and some exhibits will be interaction points that tell the stories of the people who are part of the site’s history.

Mather & Co managing director Chris Mather says: “Our ambition is that the exhibition will be highly animated and interactive in telling the stories of this great sport.”

HRH Prince Harry has just been announced as a Royal Patron and other partners from the world of motorsport include Damon Hill OBE, Nigel Mansell CBE, Sir Stirling Moss OBE and Sir Jackie Stewart OBE.
