Specular has brought out version 2 of TextureScape, which uses PostScript-based outlines to produce an infinite variety of resolution-independent textures. There are unlimited layers and you can produce broadcast- quality animations and overall it’s great. The new version is claimed to be much faster, the possible variety of textures greatly extended and new features include spline drawing tools, dynamic randomisation and click and drag shape positioning.
