No Title

Having spent some of Christmas catching up with my professional reading, I am rather late in responding to your item on Carnegie-Brown’s newsletter for the International Association of Auctioneers (DW 24 November 1995). But you’ll appreciate why I couldn’t let this go unremarked. The newsletter (pictured above) may claim to be mould-breaking in terms of auction house publicity material, but the title and logotype bear more than a passing resemblance to the newsletter of the Compass Partnership, Encompass, launched by us in November 1994. I’m sure you’ll agree that the original Encompass (right), designed by Edit for charity management consultants the Compass Partnership, and the Carnegie-Brown pretender are worthy of a Private Eye spot the difference slot.
