Surfing on the waves of compression

Shockwave, briefly previewed last year by David Collier from the Macromedia developers’ conference, can now be downloaded. What Shockwave’s Afterburner does is to compress Director movies by as much as 60 per cent. Director can be seamlessly integrated into Netscape so that under Shockwave Director movies run from a standing start and at full speed.
