Barr Gazetas is revamping a Soho office building, part of which is being converted for use as a restaurant. The four upper floors in 1930s building One Upper James Street will be office space while the ground and lower levels will have a restaurant lease. The interiors feature raised floors and stone finishes in the reception area. ‘We have gone for a crisp and sophisticated look in contrast to some of the buildings in the area which we feel are aggressive and unnecessarily showy,’ says Barr Gazetas partner Alistair Barr.
