Goulbourne recruited by BGA

Former Landor Associates senior design director David Goulborne has been appointed as director of design at Basten Greenhill Andrews.

BGA partner Tim Greenhill says: “We have been on the lookout for a director of design for the past 18 months or so. Because our creative director is a writer we were in need of somebody who is a visual champion.”

Goulbourne’s experience of large-scale branding projects will, it is hoped by the consultancy, tie in with BGA’s plans for expansion. His position as director of design is a newly created one for the consultancy.

“We realised straight away that David shares our philosophy towards identity and that he would fit into the company very well. David will be on board from today and he is here to champion our design and marketing product,” adds Greenhill.

Goulbourne worked on a variety of projects in Landor’s London office for five years, and was previously at advertising agency Strattons.

He says: “I like a challenge. The opportunity here is to build creative brands and I like BGA’s approach. It is very holistic and it is very exciting working with a writer to create brands.”
