Paper White image update for Big Bus

London sightseeing tour operator The Big Bus Company is to unveil a new identity, vehicle liveries and branding in mid-June. The new look has been created by Paper White which was appointed last month following a three-way paid creative tender.

The company’s 80-strong fleet of buses will retain its existing burgundy and cream colours, incorporating the new identity, according to Paper White director Stephen Page. “We didn’t want to mess with something that is a London icon,” he explains.

In addition, the London design group will be developing new literature and merchandise, plus a new website, to be launched at the end of the year.

“The strategy is more about building the brand than rebranding it. We are introducing a new level of sophistication in the way that the brand is integrated into merchandise,” adds Page.

Shell Oil Products has re-appointed Paper White for a fourth successive year to develop the identity and design of its in-house business magazine, Globe.
