The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has confirmed that it will not be appointing a second ‘design champion’ as part of its Creative Economy Programme. The DCMS appointed Sir George Cox as one of two British design supremos in March, but, despite having a candidate lined up, the DCMS now says the second appointment will not be forthcoming.
