Redesign for Information Office

The Central Office of Information is drawing up a design roster for the first time, specifically to address the organisation’s branding issues and help improve the image of Government departments.

Publications director Michael Reid says there was “quite a lot of interest” from a recent advertisment in the Official Journal of the European Community, inviting consultancies to apply for the roster. It is likely to include about 12 design groups, who will be employed for five-year periods.

“We are establishing a group of consultancies that we know we can work well with,” says Reid. “The [pitching] process is moving on quickly now, but I don’t know when it will be completed or how many groups will be on the roster,” he adds.
