Once upon a time in 1939, a Swedish company, Aristospel, started making table hockey games.

Then another Swedish company, Stiga, made a similar game, promoted it with famous Swedish ice hockey player – Sven ‘Tumba’ Johansson, since you ask – and claims to have sold more copies.

Stiga has clearly found a formula and is sticking to it like a cheap dress on a C-list celebrity at a premier. It is inviting famous Swedish table hockey player Göran Agdur to London retailer Skandium for its latest table hockey game, Play Off.

At £69 a shot, you’d better shout loudly up the chimney this Christmas.
