Mother’s help includes re-writing the classics

Ever fancied seeing your name in print somewhere other than the pages of Design Week? Well, you can, and help a charity at the same time.

Authors including Pat Barker, Margaret Atwood and Zadie Smith have promised anyone who bids enough cash for the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture a chance at immortality with the mention of their name in their next bestseller.

Ad agency Mother suggests the impact such an auction might have had on previous classics in its marketing material, including Claude of the Flies and War and Pete.

The auction takes place on 16 October in London.
