Ian Macleod Distillers is launching a new whisky for the travel retail market called Smokehead Extra Rare, with packaging design by Navyblue. The whisky is positioned as an exclusive and premium luxury product, and launches at the Tax Free World Association in Cannes this week. Navyblue’s design follows on from its work for sister brand Smokehead Islay Single Malt, and uses aluminium outer packaging and a collection of wooden poster typography.
